Day 5 (Friday)

Okee. We started off the day with a bang. And by bang I mean Starbucks. Then it was our plan to go to the Financial District, which we did, by riding the Subway.

This is the Charging Bull statue on Wall Street. While I'd like to say we were far more mature than the others who taking photos of his... cajones... we weren't. I'm just not posting that photo.

I don't know what he's so upset about. Anyways, this would be the Wall Street subway station (one of many) and behind it, though you can't see very well, is the Trinity Church. We spent probably an hour or more inside the graveyard, and then in the actual church. It is absolutely beautiful.

Me writing in my Moleskine.

Then we came back up to Midtown and checked out Rockafeller. I love all these flags!

We passed by Radio City Music Hall and I did a sweaty armpit dance. Yep.

We agreed that we were long overdue for some NYC hotdogs. While they were delicious, my creepy face in this photo almost discounts how wonderful the experience really was. We sat by this fountain in front of the Chase Building for a super long time and just watched the people and talked. I have never hated pigeons (or people who FEED PIGEONS) so much in my life.
...I hate pigeons. No, seriously.

This could be like a JC Penney ad - but the thing is - it's real life. We were really THIS HAPPY to have ice cream. The vendor in the cart took this photo of us:

Okay, I know it looks like we JUST ate, and we DID, but several hours later we ordered Chinese food and watched So You Think You Can Dance and just nursed our poor aching feet.
It was a fantastic day.
