Me in the kitchen having a bad hair moment. (Yes, those are yellow rubber gloves in the background that I actually emailed my roomie to inquire about before coming out here. I was prepared to bring my own. Pruney dishwashing hands are not an option for me if I must do the dishes.)
Julia's crotch, as well as our lunch.
Julia and meself! Food.
This is me in front of some mailboxes! Why, you ask? Because T-Love mailed me her camera for my Summer in the City and I was at my Friendly Local Post Office to pick it up! Thanks, Tristy!
It was POURING RAIN. Julia and I were both dominating some umbrella skills, as well as navigating the bus system so that we could avoid some rain on our ride downtown. Here is Z bustop. Be prepared for a lot of self-taken photos over the next couple of days. Julia was a pro at it. You'll know which one I took.
Us on the bus. A very nice boy bought Julia's bus fare with his Metrocard because buses here don't accept dollar bills, apparently, only coinage. As Julia said "I can't imagine a bus wouldn't accept cash."
Yeah okay so I took this photo. Obviously. The MOMA!!!! It was our brilliant way of getting out of the rain. Us and about fifty million other tourists. This place was packed.
In true Ali fashion, we did the Audio Tour. It was like carrying around a cell phone. And the voice was really creepy and I got sick of it so we started taking photos instead.
One of these things is not like the other...
This is me pointing to New York. Or a blob of paint. But it really was New York in the big painting.
We went to Bubba Gump Shrimp for dinner and enjoyed some deliciosity to satisfy the intense hunger that miles of walking in the rain evokes.
HAIR HAIR HAIR HAIR HAIR HAIR!!!
"Gimme a head with hair, long beautiful hair! Shining, gleaming, streaming, flaxen-waxen!"
This show was a total riot. Not G-rated, that's for sure. We had a blast, we knew all the tunes, and it's no wonder it got Best Musical Revival at the Tony's. Hoorayyy for Broadway!
I'm so happy the camera is having a bi-coastal summer. ;)
ReplyDeleteLove the MOMA pics!
